Pisces New Moon 26° Pisces March 17, 2018 5:11 MST
Believe it or not, a common theme for Pisces is the journey of Self Discovery.
Pisces has a knack for being whoever others needs it to be. People with strong Pisces signatures make great actors, writers, musicians and artists because they are natural channels, easily able to tap into an emotion and communicate it back to others in a very transcendent way.
The New Moon of Pisces, conjunct Chiron, the Wounded Healer who opens us up to our deepest, core wounds and asks us to channel that part of Self that is most tender and most raw and most….real.
Of course, our society has an aversion to getting vulnerable. We believe that to embrace our vulnerability, we must be weak or broken.
But vulnerability is actually a strength because it fosters TRUST with the deepest parts of Self. Have you ever noticed how people with TRUST issues often eschew vulnerability?
We can start here, though.
It works like this: lean into your vulnerability, listen to your intuition, follow its advice. LOVE yourself more. Strengthen yourself, your boundaries, your sense of Self...
There is a natural defensiveness, though, with the square to Mars in Sagittarius. With this aspect there is the danger of closing ourselves off from accessing the tenderness -- a reactionary pulling of the sword and shield. Let’s not fall victim to the notion that we must erect barriers to our pain -- as the Danielle LaPorte says, there’s a difference between boundaries and barriers.
Boundaries are responsible. They help define us. They remind you who you are and what matters most. Boundaries reflect maturity, wisdom, a person who knows their limits and is ok with enforcing them. With boundaries, I get to choose who I let in and when.
Barriers are reactionary. They hold us hostage. They prevent us from engaging with our vulnerability because when we erect barriers, we are giving away our power to external forces instead of standing strong from an internal position.
This moon is also getting support from Jupiter, which just went retrograde in the sign of Scorpio, encouraging us to reexamine the pain of our past and dream a new story around any perceived injustice. Can we choose a higher truth?
This new moon is the final new moon of the zodiac year. It is a final culmination point and a letting go. In a few days time, Spring Equinox will usher in a new energy, a fresh energy. But for now, the sun is wrapping up its journey through the season of winter and we are reminded that we can’t take everything all with us. So, let go of what no longer serves. Tie up those loose ends. Cut those cords.
The time for healing is now.
