It is perfect time to sit by the fires and dream about the future. Or reflect on the past.
But I just can’t seem to get into a creative flow, despite my efforts…
In my high desert climate, things tend to dry out quickly but especially so during the winter months. Dry air, dry hair, dry skin thirsty for even a small dab of moisturizer. It takes work to keep well-hydrated.
I usually just try to drink plenty of fluids and do what is necessary to ride out these last few weeks without becoming parched.
But this year has felt different. Despite my efforts to stay moisturized, both literally and metaphorically speaking, this winter, my creative flow has dried me out.
But last night, something happened.
As I was crawling into bed, my flannel pajamas sparked against the sheets –a coincidental static buildup microburst in the darkness that reignited my imagination, pulled me out of bed and had me writing in my diary until the wee hours of the morning…something I haven’t done in weeks!
Returning to the safe space of those once familiar pages …
I attempted to answer a juicy question that has been pushing forth from below for a very long time…
“What is my soul birthing RIGHT NOW?”
Of course, one question leads to another and now I’m noshing on how I can take what I know as a momma and try to apply it to my creative visions..
I’ve been pondering these questions and more during this season of transition, and I hope you can listen in as I nosh on them with my friend, Cris Ashburn of Midwifery for the Soul.
In this episode of The Goddesstrology Podcast, I am chatting with my friend, Cris Ashburn, Certified Death Midwife, about how to be a sacred witness to the many creative processes of transition. We talk about the dark goddess archetypes, the fertility goddesses and how midwifing the soul requires a certain kind of action…
Goddesstrology Forecast For the Week of: January 29 – February 4, 2018
This week we are building up to the BIG ONE! It is a FULL MOON, BLUE MOON, BLOOD MOON LUNAR ECLIPSE in the sign of Leo on Wednesday.
Overall themes coming up for the eclipse in the sign of SELF is nurturing, empathy, care, love, devotion…you know, RADICAL SELF CARE stuff.
Ceres on the north node during the upcoming eclipse suggests a new season of soul growth after a period of loss. That grief is a process, it comes in waves, and tho it never fully goes away, eventually we discover we are never really alone, so no need to feel lonely.
At the same time, the Sun is on the moon’s south node, suggesting an awareness around the habits we’ve formed that keep us in our comfort zone — and where we avoid taking healthy risks that give us more Life. With Venus here, we are aware of the open space that must be made for our creative process to flourish without smothering it before it can take off and be something beautiful. It can feel uncomfortable to push for this, it involves serious risk, but the reward is quite transformative…
Inconjunct Neptune, this eclipse forces us to lift the veil and see how our fears of being seen has kept us safe in our smallness, but that if we wish to heal we must reclaim our true potential, to stop letting others direct your destiny and to make your vision a reality.
Vesta, Goddess of The Sacred Flame, trining the upcoming eclipse, supports this energetic reset…time to DO YOU…to focus on YOUR CREATIVE SPARK. To stoke the sacred flame.
This eclipse is sure to usher in a dramatic change! But where does it land in your chart?
If you would like to know how these energies impact you on a personal level, I’d love to help you make sense of it all!
